Well, here we are — after months of planning, tweaking, testing, dreaming, deleting and redesigning… we finally launched our brand-new website! And we couldn’t be prouder.
If you’ve been following along for a while, you know this little shop has grown over time, project by project, map by map, step by step. What once started as a humble space to share illustrated city maps and bits of our travels has now evolved into something much bigger — and our new website finally reflects that.
We’ve been so excited to share this with you — it’s a space that feels like us. Warmer, friendlier, clearer, and full of color. The kind of place where we hope you’ll come in, take your time, wander a bit, and maybe fall in love with something along the way.
Let me walk you through what’s changed (and why you should take a peek!).
A Website That Finally Feels Like Us
The most important change? This new version finally looks and feels like what we do. The colors, the textures, the images — they all now carry that same cozy, story-filled atmosphere that we want our prints to bring into your homes. You’ll find warm-toned pictures of our maps and illustrations, and each one feels more like a peek into a real life than a catalogue. We want you to feel something when you visit — not just scroll past product after product.
Our mission has always been to bring a spark of memory, joy, and wonder to your walls. Whether it’s through a city map that reminds you of your honeymoon, a continent where you spent your gap year, or a dreamy print that makes your kid point at the stars — we’re here to make your space feel more you. And now our website finally tells that story too.
New Prints, New Worlds, New Directions
Another big change? We're not just about maps anymore.
Don’t worry — the illustrated city maps are going nowhere. They remain the beating heart of our work and the core of our collection. But lately, something new has been bubbling up creatively. Alongside maps, we’ve added new print collections that we’re really excited about.
First up: outer space! Yep, we’ve been looking up — way up. Planets, moons, constellations… they’ve been quietly inspiring us from the background for a long time, and now they’re officially part of the family. These prints are perfect for dreamers, little explorers, or anyone who loves a bit of cosmic magic on their walls.
And second: some prints are coming straight from the inner space — little pieces of Sira Lobo’s own illustrated universe. These new illustrations are personal, whimsical, and full of character. They’re not tied to geography, but they still tell stories. We hope you love them just as much as the maps — or maybe even more.
A Simpler, Smoother Shopping Experience
Let’s talk logistics. Because we know: shopping should be easy. Fun, even.
So with this new website, we took a hard look at what could be simpler — and made some bold decisions. The biggest change? We’ve stopped selling frames and magnetic hangers.
Wait, what?
Yes, it was a tough call. We know some of you loved those options. But honestly, they added complexity to the checkout process, raised questions about compatibility, and made international shipping and customs a bit of a nightmare. In the end, they were slowing us down and driving up costs — for us and for you.
Instead, we’ve chosen to stick with standard paper sizes, carefully selected so that you can easily find frames in your own country — from your favorite store, online or local. This way, you still get a beautifully framable piece of art, and you’ll likely save on shipping, customs, and time.
The result? A smoother, faster shopping experience that lets us focus on what we do best: creating beautiful, meaningful illustrated prints.
Sustainability Is Still at the Core
We couldn’t talk about this update without mentioning what hasn’t changed — and what never will.
Sustainability continues to be a cornerstone of our production and shipping process. With the new website launch, we took the opportunity to also make some invisible improvements behind the scenes. Things like reducing production waste, optimizing our packaging to be more eco-friendly, and reviewing our materials to ensure they meet our environmental standards.
So while the shop may look shinier on the outside, it’s also smarter and greener on the inside.
You can feel confident that every purchase is not just beautifully crafted, but also respectful of the planet.
More Good Things Are Coming
Launching a new website is a bit like moving into a new home. You unpack, settle in, hang up some pictures… and then start dreaming again.
So, yes — we’ve got more surprises coming soon.
New maps (a couple are still under wraps for 2024 — you’ve been warned!) and some fresh content on the way. Think: travel stories, memory-keeping tips, and behind-the-scenes peeks into the creative process. If you’re not signed up for the newsletter yet — now’s a great time.
Thank you for being here, and for growing with us.
We hope you love the new website as much as we do. Please feel free to browse around, get lost in the maps, check out the new space illustrations, or just drop us a message to say hi.
This new site is for you — our community of memory keepers, travel lovers, and map collectors. We’re so happy to finally welcome you in.
Warmly,
SIra Lobo
P.S. This summer (and a little beyond!), we’ve lined up a series of opening sales and a few more surprises to celebrate the launch — and we’d love for you to be part of it. Make sure to subscribe to our new shop so you don’t miss a thing! We only send a couple of emails per month, so don’t worry — your peace of mind is safe with us. ✉️💛
